Besides the peaceful atmosphere, amazing food, and exciting family gatherings Ramadan also has another perk. Oh yes my dears, I’m talking about the sales on abayas, kaftans, anarkalis, and other Muslimin fashion items. My mother and I have a reputation for being some of the best customers at inner-city Islamic stores, but since I’m spending Ramadan upstate I haven’t been able to peruse through racks and tumble through the usual overwhelming stacks of scarves. Instead, I decided to hit the virtual stores and do some eyeballing.

And then what do ya know…POOF! There goes the latest paycheck. The plight of the working woman is not a valuable one. A woman works and then a good chunk of that salary just goes towards the latest pair of shoes or that lovely dress that she’s been eyeing behind the display window. And let’s face it no woman is satisfied until the glass keeping her from her prize is made for other unlookers and not her needing soul.

This new abaya knows this. That forelorn feeling of waiting for it to ship was finally gone the moment the package was in my hands. Okay, I’m being way dramatic but I couldnt help but be excited. I have been eyeing this black patch dress every single day for the past week deciding whether it was a worthy investment.

As you can see it very much was. The moment I tried it on I did NOT want to take it off, but my friends and I had a photography day in the Delaware Park; so on an impulse I dressed it up and thought it would be perfect for a fashion post. The dress is simple, tasteful, flowy, breathable, and ETHICAL. For any young woman looking for modest fashions at great prices I definitely recommend Euphoria.
